Submissions Guidelines

The Journal of Geoinformatics and Digital Geography welcomes original, high-quality scholarly manuscripts from researchers, academicians, professionals, and students in geoinformatics, digital geography, GIS, remote sensing, spatial data science, and related disciplines.

Authors are encouraged to read these guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts.

• Submit only original and unpublished work.
• Manuscripts must not be under review elsewhere.
• Research should make a meaningful scholarly contribution.
• Plagiarism and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited.

The manuscript should normally include:

• Abstract
• Keywords
• Introduction
• Literature Review
• Methodology
• Results
• Discussion
• Conclusion
• Acknowledgements (if applicable)
• Funding Information
• Conflict of Interest Statement
• References

• Number all figures and tables clearly.
• Provide appropriate captions.
• Use high-resolution images and maps.
• Cite every visual element within the manuscript.
• Acknowledge external sources where required.
• Obtain copyright permission when necessary.

• Use one consistent citation style.
• Include all cited references.
• Add DOI information whenever available.
• Cite recent and relevant scholarly literature.

• Conduct research ethically.
• Avoid plagiarism and research misconduct.
• Provide ethical approval where applicable.
• Declare funding and conflicts of interest.

All contributing authors should be listed. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of author information and obtaining approval from all co-authors before submission.

Every submission undergoes an editorial assessment followed by a rigorous peer-review process. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts before a final publication decision is made.

Authors should respond to reviewer comments carefully and clearly explain all revisions made in the revised manuscript.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted work does not infringe copyright and that all necessary permissions have been obtained.

Significant errors identified after publication should be reported promptly so that corrections or updates can be published when necessary.
